Absolut Idiots

Absolut vodka, another of my fav Swedish "imports", is sold around the world. Recently, the xenophobic freak crowd, aka the "anti-illegals", went apeshit nativist over this ad that ran in (of all places)...Mexico!

Whatever...If you've ever seen Absolut ads, you know they've always been over-the-top. This is no exception, although the Reconquista conspiracy theorists that troll the internet with crack-fiend like intensity looking for anything to support their paranoid delusions are all a twitter over this one. They're calling for boycotts (as if they even drink vodka, let alone THIS vodka), circulating stories about their bartenders pulling it off the shelves, and generally having a psuedo-patriotic circle jerk about the whole thing. Fucking freaks...

Anyway, I was reading about all of this, and thinking I might head down to my local watering hole and buy anyone who's drinking vodka an "upgrade" to Absolut and I saw this story:

Vodka-maker Absolut apologizes, ends ad showing California, Texas as part of Mexico

Apparently, after Michelle (me so horny!) Malkin posted her bitch fit on her blog, Absolut panicked and issued this statement -

"In no way was it meant to offend or disparage, nor does it advocate an altering of borders, nor does it lend support to any anti-American sentiment, nor does it reflect immigration issues,"

What a bunch of pussies! They caved in because a handful of idiots in the US took offense to an over the top ad they ran...in Mexico?

Fuck it...Now I'M gonna boycott that Swedish swill!
